Today's Devotional Scripture

Today's Verse
May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.
~Psalm 68:3 NIV
Thoughts on today's verse...
Glad? Happy? Joyful? I've never considered this before, but isn't that a thought? Being glad, happy and joyful before God. I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. We all have friends in our lives that make us feel just that way - glad, happy and joyful just to be around them. And then we have the others... those who make us feel just the opposite. Those who suck the very life from us in some parasitic form.

When we are around those who "lift us up" we feel invigorated, full of life and able to do anything. It is almost as if we are energized by being in their presence. (This is the extreme opposite of the other type of friend - that kind of relationship drains us.) I've even attended churches that can be described as those two extremes. I don't think I have to tell you which I prefer!

That is my prayer for you today - being glad, happy and joyful before God!
My prayer...
Father God, I lift all my blog-land friends up to You this day. May they rejoice before You. May they be glad, happy and joyful before You. Then may this spill over into their day. May their families, those in the market place and those at work sense their gladness, happiness and joy! In Your name I pray ~Amen!

Yours, because we're His,

Tamara

  4. This is what life should be and can be if we keep on spreading God's love around.

I've always said, if you can't bring someone up, at least don't stick around and let them bring you down.

Thanks for a loving remeinder that cannot be over emphasized.

    blessings and hugs,

    marcy
