Today's Verse
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of heart and my portion forever.
~Psalm 73:26Thoughts on today's verse...
"My flesh and my heart may fail..." and sometimes they do. My flesh - as in the physical adversities and my heart - as in the spiritual rumblings. Sometimes I am weak, and that is when God is my strength. Just like our little children's' song "Jesus loves me, this I know... they are weak, but He is strong. Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so!"
There have actually been times in my life when I've simply had to sing that simple little children's' song to myself. And it is that simple - Jesus does love me! What a profound truth and such a humbling thought.
So, how about you? Is He your strength? Do you know that He loves you? Wonderful! Now, how about a rousing chorus of 'Jesus Loves Me!"
My prayer...Abba, Daddy... You do love me, don't You? That is such an amazing thought, that the God of all creation could love me, yes, even me. I ask now, that in Your holiness, you surround me with Your love and Your peace. Fill me with Your Spirit as I go through my day's activities. May I be ever mindful that I belong to You. In Jesus' name ~Amen!

Tamara...We sing this hymn in church often. It isn't a children's song for us....We sing it with the most reverance....knowing that "Yes, Jesus Love Me....This I know...For the Bible Tells Me So." Thank you again for sharing your devotions...with me....I read them as if each one is written for me!! :))

Such a beautiful thought to keep in one's heart all day long...that awesome love of God for us, so many blessings in that LOVE that the sands of all the world look like nothing in comparison!
