Good Bye

Thank you for your comments and emails.  They have been so sweet and encouraging  Still, it is time to travel on.  Perhaps when I retire I can return to doing this, but for now, I need to concentrate on my employment and on being Grandma to Abby and Zachary.

Possibly I need to seek a Christian counselor as the depression I've been in seems at times to be overwhelming.  This too, was a deciding factor in closing the blog.   Still, I find it encouraging that David experienced the depths of depression and expressed it so eloquently in his Psalms.

I continue to visit your blogs as you have all become so dear to my heart.

because we're His,

Good bye my blog land friends.  I believe it is time to discontinue this blog and devotional.  It's rather ironic, but it seems the posts have all been meant for me and so now it's time to delve deeper.  I'm going to leave this blog behind and travel on.

Thank you for your support and encouragement, but the time has come...

  1. I will miss your devotionals, Tamara. You are a gifted writer and you have a lot of godly wisdom to impart. I hope you will find another way to share your heart for the Lord with the written word.

  2. Oh, I can access your blog comment feature again!!! I've been trying to leave comments all week...and could not... but your header photo is missing...I wish you would reconsider...I will miss you so very much! But if you feel this is what you are supposed to do, I completely understand...Love you and miss you already! Janine XOXO

  3. Well, I think I should win a prize here for this is my FIFTEENTH attempt today to leave a comment! Now that's called determination!!!

I was devastated to come back and see that you were leaving, Tamara and it bothered my conscience since I have been away from blogland for so long.

Your devotionals were TRULY treasures and I got so much out of them, even when I didn't comment.

You made them so special with personal reflections added. Thank you for the time and effort you put into was really appreciated.

Of course I will be praying that you will reconsider and return but I will also respect your right to do something else.

    blessings with love,

  4. I think I know what you mean about posts being meant for "oneself". I've often thought that if no one ever read my blog, it would have been worth it for the self-knowledge and insight into God's Word and work in my life. When He calls you to "travel on" you must go.

Know that God's Word communicated is NEVER lost or worthless. It WILL accomplish what He intends That's His promise.

  5. I'm so sorry you decided to leave us. I've never met you in person and I came across your blog by pure chance (or by God's guiding hand!)

I always felt you were writing just for me as your devotionals were always so spot on what I've been going through.

May the Lord bless you richly in every aspect of your life.

  6. I hope you are going back and reading some comments so that you know that you are missed...others said they tried commenting but blogger wouldn't let them.

    blessings on you always,

  7. Tamara, from time to time, I might reply to YOUR comment in MY comment section. I wouldn't mind having your email address, too, (if you don't mind giving it). If it's any consolation - which I know from experience it may not be - I struggle from time to time with depression also. I've never been officially diagnosed, but certainly have had my struggles. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for stopping in. Your comments are a source of encouragement.
